# Fee Flow

Understand how trading activity generates the creator fee that enters the USE-GPU treasury and funds the protocol's economic system.

Every buy and sell on pump.fun generates fees. pump.fun applies a 1% platform fee and a 0.30% creator fee. The creator fee flows to the USE-GPU treasury.

```
Trade → 0.30% creator fee → USE-GPU treasury → treasury allocation
```

### Fee handling

pump.fun handles the creator fee. USE-GPU does not use an on-chain transfer tax or a transfer hook.

USE-GPU handles the treasury split after creator fee revenue enters the system. This keeps the fee pipeline separate from token transfers.

### From creator fee to protocol funding

The treasury allocates all creator fee revenue across five destinations:

| Destination | Share | How it is used |
| -------------- | ----: | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Mining Pool | 35% | Funds mining rewards. The pool is distributed every 30 minutes according to mining power |
| GPU Treasury | 30% | Funds GPU purchases, development, and growth |
| Holder Sharing | 15% | Supports long-term holders with at least 1.5 million tokens, paid on the defined schedule |
| Buyback & Burn | 10% | Funds a bot that purchases $USEGPU from PumpSwap and burns it permanently |
| Operations     |   10% | Supports keeper, infrastructure, monitoring, and development                              |

The five allocations total 100% of creator fee revenue. The creator fee is the route through which trading activity funds the protocol's economic system.

Detailed mining power, locking, reward calculations, and infrastructure phases are covered in their respective sections.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://whitepaper.usegpu.app/protocol/fee-flow.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
